Linda Wells Sholik holds a Master of Arts Degree in Music Composition. She
has sung with many professional chorales, including Pacific Chorale, directed by
John Alexander, and the Roger Wagner A Cappella Choir. She loves to write music
for voices, as well as for orchestra. Linda has received noted acclaim for her
three-movement work "Gloria," premiered by Pacific Chorale and Pacific
Symphony. Her composition for SSAA "Like A Blossom" was performed at
the ACDA Convention by Dr. Sheridan Ball's Cypress College singers. Her
composition "Christmas Star" was performed by Pacific Chorale with
brass ensemble and harp, and received a standing ovation at the Orange county
Performing Arts Center. She has also written incidental music for South Coast
Repertory Theatre, and music for films and television commercials. She is
currently Director of Children's Music Ministries at St. George's Episcopal
Church in Laguna Hills, and has been musical director for Guys and Dolls and
Hello Dolly at Laguna Beach High School.
