His music became known through the youth organization, "Young Life." He is published in the Young Life Songbook, the Lutheran Youth Songbook, "Songs" out of San Anselmo, California, and in collaboration with Larry Rench through Fred Bock Music.

Jerry is a graduate of Fuller Seminary, Pasadena, CA, and Columbia Seminary in Atlanta, GA, where he received his Doctorate in Ministry. He is currently the Pastor of Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church in Gulf Breeze, Florida.
