Mr. Roddy is a native of Tennessee, and is a graduate of Auburn University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Under Mr. Roddy's leadership the Houston Children's Chorus has performed with the Houston Symphony, Houston Masterworks Chorus, Rice University Chorale and Orchestra, El Paso Pro Musica, and the Texas A&M Chorus and Orchestra. They have performed concert tours in New Zealand, Hong Kong, Russia, Italy, The Vatican, and New York's Carnegie Hall. The Chorus has performed for President and Mrs. Bush on eleven occasions, including the 1990 World Economic Summit, the 1992 Republican Convention, and the 1998 World Energy Congress. The Chorus performed eight times with the Broadway national touring production of "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". In March of 1999, the Chorus performed with Celine Dion. Audience totals for the 1999-2000 Chorus season numbered over 750,000 people. In February of 2000, Mr. Roddy conducted a children's choir festival of "2000 Voices in 2000", held in Orlando, Florida. He is currently involved in the recording of revisions for the Silver-Burdett Ginn Music Textbook Series, and has produced or directed recordings of children's music for Warner Bros. Music, Fred Bock Music Company, Lifeway Christian Resources, Gerber Baby Foods, Blue Bell Ice Cream, and United Way. To purchase a piece click on the title.

Stephen Roddy is the Founder and Director of the 275-voice Houston Children's
Chorus, an auditioned choir of boys and girls in grades 4 through 8. He is a
noted children's choir clinician, pianist, organist, festival conductor, and
recording specialist. He has served on the full-time music staff of numerous
churches in Texas, Alabama, and Tennessee. In addition to his duties as Director
of the Houston Children's Chorus, Mr. Roddy serves as Director of Music
Ministries at Grace Presbyterian Church in Houston.
