Rosephanye Powell
Dr. Rosephanye Powell is a highly respected composer, arranger, and conductor. She holds a D.M. in Vocal Performance from Florida State University and has composed and arranged music for choirs at all levels. Her music has been performed worldwide, and she has received numerous awards and accolades for her contributions to the choral music community. Powell is known for her skill in creating intricate harmonies with just voices and no accompaniment.
Pearl Shangkuan
Dr. Pearl Shangkuan is a celebrated conductor, editor, and Director of Choral Activities at Calvin University. With degrees from Westminster Choir College and Rutgers University, she has conducted choirs worldwide and authored articles for music journals. Shangkuan is a champion of inclusivity and diversity in choral music, and her work has focused on the performance of music from a wide range of cultures.
Elena Sharkova
Elena Sharkova is a Russian-American conductor recognized worldwide for her versatility and inspiration. She has worked with professional artists and served as assistant music director on the Grammy Award-winning project, “Orchestra of Voices.” Sharkova is the Artistic Director of Symphony Silicon Valley Chorus and Cantabile Youth Singers.
Sherry Blevins

Amanda Quist
Dr. Amanda Quist is the Director of Choral Activities at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, leading award-winning ensembles and initiatives. She has conducted honor choirs, served as a guest lecturer, and participated in international events. Quist initiated the Seraphic Fire Scholars program, fostering conducting internships with the South Florida Master Chorale and the Miami Children’s Chorus.
Jan Sanborn

Dr. Michelle Jensen is a choral director, clinician, and teacher who directs the Chamber Singers at Azusa Pacific University. With a DMA in Choral Music from the University of Southern California, Jensen serves as a clinician, adjudicator, and guest artist throughout the United States and abroad. She is a member of both SAG and AFTRA and has an extensive performance resume.
Julie Yu-Oppenheim
Dr. Julie Yu-Oppenheim is an award-winning conductor and music educator who leads the Wanda L. Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University and Canterbury Voices. Her choirs have performed at prestigious venues, and she has presented at state and regional conferences. Yu-Oppenheim was an ACDA International Conducting Exchange Fellow to Kenya in 2019.
Sister Anita Smisek
Anita Smisek, OP, is a versatile musician — soprano, organist, pianist, and composer. She promotes Czechoslovak music and directs special concerts. Smisek has restored ethnic religious song and co-founded Alliance Publications, Inc. She is a staff member at Sinsinawa Mound Center, coordinating Sinsinawa Studios and teaching music.
Hilary Apfelstadt
Dr. Hilary Apfelstadt is Professor Emerita of Choral Studies at the University of Toronto, leaving a lasting legacy through her teaching, conducting, and writing. She has mentored conductors and advised graduate conducting majors, shaping the next generation of choral leaders. Apfelstadt has authored articles and book chapters focusing on leadership, choral pedagogy, and Canadian music.
