Description
ALWAYS GOLD is a work by Julie K. Brown written to commemorate her former high school band director, Bruce Hering, and premiered by the North High School Wind Band Ensemble at Eau Claire, Wisconsin. “Always Gold” is a Grade 3 overture for concert set in traditional ABA form. The allegro “A” sections are full of energy and forward motion, while the adagio “B” section is more serene and comforting. The piece has solo parts in the first Trumpet and Alto Saxophone parts, though both can be played as solis if needed.
