This melody is one of Craig Courtney’s most tender and captivating. The SATB setting (BG2065) has been a popular favorite for years. Choirs of all sizes can now enjoy this setting of Matthew 11:28-30, ”Come to me, all ye heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” In gentle counterpoint Craig constructs the lines of ”rest” to cascade over one another. As expected, the piano part is musical and enticing. This is a wonderful piece for Lent, communion or general use.
