IN PEACE THEY WILL LIVE (or also known as AMAZING GRACE or GOD’S CHILD) is a song that holds great meaning to the Cherokee people and it is often referred to as the CHEROKEE NATIONAL ANTHEM. Here, composer James Green takes David Huff’s setting of AMAZING GRACE and adapts it into the Cherokee language (pronunciation guide included) with treble chorus, solo descant, optional flute or violin, shaker, drum and bongos or congas. This would make a great addition to your American Music Month concert.
